Who Are We?

Indian Culinary Diaspora is a global network of chefs’ associations, first founded in 2020 in London. It comprises chefs and culinary experts from the UK and international professional chefs, caterers, and others associated with the food and hospitality professions. We foster relationships with all parts of the food chain, including primary producers, manufacturers, and suppliers, as well as educational establishments, to develop and raise the culinary profile of the industry, its establishments and those working within them.

Mission Statement

Indian Culinary Diaspora is a non-political organisation dedicated to providing opportunities for networking and interaction among culinary professionals. We are also committed to exploring the education, training and professional development of our members and fellow associates.

Our Objective, Goals and Interests

Food, culinary trends, and the passion associated with them are rapidly becoming topics of enormous public interest. While chefs are less mysterious and more accessible to consumers than ever before, their skills remain highly regarded. It is time to form an association that focuses exclusively on ensuring these skills are nurtured, supported, and developed. We work across the length and breadth of our industry, promoting, serving, and showcasing the talented chefs in our proud kitchens. Year on year, our membership should strengthen; chefs from all levels join and re-join, and many go on to be elected officials in their regions.
mission
To be a non-political and non-profit-making partnership of professional chefs, caterers and others associated with the food and hospitality professions, who foster relationships with all parts of the food chain, including primary producers, manufacturers, and suppliers, as well as educational establishments, to develop and raise the culinary profile of the industry, its establishments and those working within them.
To bring together, professionally and socially, chefs and those in other food- and hospitality-related professions from establishments throughout the United Kingdom and our international colleagues. To develop chefs and caterers through training, competitions, demonstrations, and visits, and to act as a broker for the sharing and exchange of skills, ideas, culinary expertise, and knowledge. To raise and enhance the culinary profile of the industry, its establishments and those within it, nationally and internationally.
